Nkwe Platinum Limited
Nkwe Platinum Limited was established in 2001 and registered in Bermuda with a registered capital of 85.98 million Australian dollars. In 2018, Zijin Mining completed the acquisition of 100% shares of Nkwe and took the shares off the Australian Stock Exchange.
Nkwe’s core assets are 74% of the PGMs mining rights in Garatau, limpopo, South Africa. Its total platinum group metals and gold resources are about 44 million ounces, with an average grade of 4.566 g/t.
The Galatao PGMs project is a high-quality resource, which is one of the largest PGMs resources outside the projects of large companies such as Anglo American and other companies. It has advantages such as simple ore dressing process and easy mechanical mining. Compared with the traditional thin-vein mining method adopted by Anglo American and other companies, the mining method adopted by Nkwe is efficient with lower cost. In 2019, the company will actively carry out pre-construction work.
