Upper zone: underground mining + flotation
The Čukaru Peki Copper-Gold Mine is a massive copper-gold mine in Serbia, with an Upper Zone and a Lower Zone. The Upper Zone has an ultra-high grade orebody and is scheduled to begin producing at the end of June 2021. On average, it is expected to produce 91,400 tonnes of copper and 2.5 tonnes of gold annually, with an annual peak output of 135,000 tonnes of copper and 6.1 tonnes of gold. The Lower Zone is now in the feasibility study stage.
