Ms. Qu is China’s first female PhD in Economics (Accounting) and currently serves as a Professor of Accounting and Doctoral Supervisor at Xiamen University. She is a recipient of the State Council’s Special Government Allowance, initiator of studies for MPAcc (Master of Professional Accounting) programs in China, principal drafter of the study report for DPAcc (Doctor of Professional Accounting) programs, and a Fulbright Research Scholar.

She has previously served as a consulting expert to the Accounting Standards Committee of China’s Ministry of Finance and a member of the Social Sciences Committee of the Ministry of Education. She has received 16 national and provincial-level research awards, the Ge Jiashu Award, the ACCA Outstanding Achievement Award, and honors such as National Outstanding Female Worker and Fujian Provincial Outstanding Expert.

She currently serves as Chair of the Academic Committee of the Accounting Development Research Center of Xiamen University, an expert reviewer for the National Social Science Fund, Vice President of the China Cost Research Association, and Advisor to the National MPAcc Education Steering Committee.

She was appointed Independent Director of the company in December 2025 and brings extensive experience in accounting, financial management, and corporate governance.
