Mr. Wang Anjian holds a PhD in Science and is a professor. He works as Chief Scientist for Global Mineral Resource Strategy Research at the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences. He previously served as Director of the Division of Metallogenic Prospect Zoning and Director of the Global Mineral Resources Strategy Research Center at the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences.

He has led or been responsible for more than 40 national-level projects in China, including the National 973 Program and major scientific and technological research initiatives under the Ministry of Science and Technology.

He led China’s National Mineral Resources Survey (2007–2012) and the new round of National Mineral Resource Supply Assessment (2013–2017). He has published four monographs, authored over 220 academic papers in China and international journals, and overseen the publication of 114 strategic research reports. He holds three national invention patents and has received eight Science and Technology Awards in Land and Resources.

He began to serve in the company in December 2025 and brings extensive knowledge in regional metallogeny, deep research expertise in mineral resource economics, and strong capability in global minerals strategic assessment.
