Jilin Zijin Copper Co., Ltd. was established in 2016 to smelt the copper concentrate produced by the Shuguang Gold-Copper Mine. In 2020, the operation was recognized as a national-level Green Plant by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The “Zijin” brand grade A cathode copper produced by the project is a registered brand at the Shanghai Futures Exchange and the London Metal Exchange. The sulfuric acid produced by the company has food-grade certification.
