Rio Blanco Copper participated in the first Conference on Empowerment of Women Journalists and Social Leaders, which was organized by the Federation of Journalists of Peru, on June 12th at the Pinacoteca Municipal.

"Women are important for development, and we are precisely looking to develop training and education spaces. Our goal is to train professional women who can be part of our project, such as female miners, geologists, laboratory researchers", highlighted Malena Vinatea, Social Manager of the Rio Blanco project in her keynote speech.

So far there are 48% of Rio Blanco's workers are women.
