In Boyacá, Colombia, the 13th International Mines Rescue Competition brought together 21 teams from 7 countries. The women’s team from Continental Gold, a subsidiary of Zijin Mining, emerged victorious, securing first place in the women’s category.

Comprising six seasoned mine rescuers, the team showcased exceptional professional skills and teamwork during simulated rescue missions, earning them the top honor. Team members expressed immense pride in representing Continental Gold and achieving such a prestigious accolade. They also hope their success will inspire more women to join the mine rescue industry.

The International Mines Rescue Competition, organized by the International Mines Rescue Body, was first held in 1999 in Kentucky, USA, and is held biennially.
