Zijin News, 12th December, The 2020 Silk Road Mining Forum with the theme of "Supporting and Leading Internationalization of China Mining Industry" opened in Beijing. Zijin Mining Chairman Jinghe Chen was invited to attend and deliver a speech.
Jinghe Chen believes that mining industry is the basis for social and economic development of the nation. Chinese economy is entering the fast lane of high-quality development. Chinese mining industry should increase its global competitiveness to better participate in international competition. Chinese mining companies should focus on improving their comparative advantages in strategic mineral resource control, mining technology and engineering innovation, investment and cost control, operation and management in accordance with international rules, and informatization, intelligence, and cross-cultural governance.
Chen Jinghe pointed out that Zijin Mining started from the development of low-grade, refractory mineral resources. After nearly 30 years of continuous improvement and innovation, it has invested and developed a number of world-class large-scale gold and copper mines at home and abroad; and an innovative mining project management model of "Five Processes of Ore Flow into One" . The common development concept with Zijin's characteristics has been highly recognized by investors, employees, stakeholders and the society, and the sustainable development capability has been significantly enhanced.
Zijin Mining is on the eve of explosive growth. Backed by China's huge market and demand, the company will seize opportunities to quickly build its global competitiveness, and work together with its mining counterparts on “the Belt and Road Initiatives”.
