Zijin News - on 21st April 2021, Continental Gold, the subsidiary of Zijin Mining Group issues 2020 sustainability report in Chines, English and Spanish citing GRI standards. The report summarizes ESG performance of the company in 2020 which has been highly recognized by local society and government.
The report stated ESG performance of the company in ten different perspectives including corporate governance, sustainable development, social influence, local economic development and mining formalization. The vision of the company is to become the best modern gold mine and the first environmentally responsible mine (Mina Verde) in Colombia.
Continental Gold will enhance its management in occupational health and safety, environmental protection and community committee, and provide HSEC training to its employees, contractors and nearby community as well as upgrade HSE equipment according to world-class mining standards.
