Zijin Geophysics (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (Zijin Geophysics), an affiliate of major global metals miner Zijin Mining, recently deployed its independently developed "Zhendan 3D Induced Polarization System" at a greenfield exploration project along the Timok Metallogenic Belt in Serbia, leading to a series of successful drill holes that intersected ore intervals and confirming that the system is advanced and applicable in metals prospecting.

The 3D induced polarization (IP) detection technology captures the three-dimensional spatial distribution of sulfide mineralization zones. It is suitable for exploration at depth and enables rapid, high-quality evaluation, making it a key technology for metallic mineral prospecting.
The "Zhendan 3D Induced Polarization System" utilizes high-power IP transmitters and 200 to 400 high-precision, intelligent receivers, providing accurate anomaly localization and achieving significantly greater exploration depths. It exceeds conventional IP detection depths by 2 to 3 times, with effective depths of 1,000 to 1,500 meters. The system can be used for both brownfield and greenfield prospecting of metallic mineral deposits and matches the capabilities of leading technologies in the world.
