Contract signing for 2023-2024

General Manager Victor Wu, announce the inclusion of 41 exceptional students into the Rosebel Gold Mines Scholarship Program for the academic year 2023-2024. This momentous occasion was marked by a contract signing event on October 9th. These remarkable scholars, who have excelled in their studies, represent the future leaders of Brokopondo, Sipaliwini, and Boven-Saramacca.

As the top performers from secondary schools in these regions, they have been granted the opportunity to pursue further education at the secondary or higher education levels in Paramaribo, thanks to the Rosebel Gold Mines Scholarship Program.

What We Offer- with an annual budget of over USD$100000

  • Elite Scholars: Each year, we select the brightest minds, recognizing their academic excellence and leadership potential. These exceptional students are awarded scholarships to further their education.

  • Comprehensive Support: Our scholars receive not only financial aid but also dedicated technical and social guidance. We cover all their educational expenses, including housing, transportation, living costs, tuition fees, and study materials, from the moment they join until they earn their higher education diplomas.

  • Lasting Impact: Education is an investment in the future that pays dividends for generations. By supporting these scholars, we are laying the foundation for sustainable development, not only in Suriname but especially in Brokopondo and Sipaliwini.

  • Program Expansion: We continually expand our reach, offering scholarships to an increasing number of deserving students. Three years ago, the program further expanded by including the collaborative communities of Kwakoegron and Pikin Saramacca, previously excluded due to their geographical location, as juniors into this remarkable program, making it a symbol of inclusivity.

  • A Decade of Excellence: Celebrating over a decade of educational impact, our program remains a beacon of hope, providing opportunities for growth and success to our youth.

Join us in celebrating the empowerment of tomorrow's leaders through the RGM Scholarship Program. Together, we are shaping the future, one scholar at a time.
