Executive Director, Chairman of the Board of Directors, (Secretary of the CPC Committee of Zijin Mining), Chair of the Strategic and Sustainable Development (ESG) Committee of the Board and the Executive and Investment Committee of the Board, and Member of the Nomination and Compensation Committee of the Board.

Mr. Zou holds an MBA from Xiamen University. As a professor-level senior engineer, he is a recipient of the Special Government Allowance from China’s State Council. He concurrently serves as Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory for Comprehensive Utilization of Refractory and Low-Grade Gold Resources and Vice President of the China Gold Association.

Mr. Zou joined the company in 1996 and has driven many of Zijin Mining’s major technological breakthroughs. He also proposed or led the development of several technical solutions for the company.

    ● He has led 9 key R&D projects at the provincial and ministerial level and multiple projects within Zijin Mining.

    ● He has earned 26 awards for scientific and technological progress at or above the provincial and ministerial level, holds 29 national-level invention patents in China, and has published more than 40 academic papers.

    ● He has led or participated in major science and technology projects focused on the green and efficient extraction of metals from low-grade, complex, and refractory gold and copper resources, generating substantial economic and social benefits.

Mr. Zou brings extensive experience in leadership in a large multinational corporate environment, as well as in mineral processing, metallurgy, and mining operations and project management.
