The Ashele Copper Mine is a large, non-ferrous metal project with a daily throughput of 7,000 tonnes.
In 2002, Zijin Mining acquired a 51% interest in the Ashele Copper Mine and became the operator of the project.
The project upholds the principle of balanced development among the company, its employees, and society. The mining operation contributes to its host region’s development by attracting talent, driving the movement of goods, and paying taxes. It also actively engages in rural revitalization efforts, social welfare initiatives, charitable endeavors, and education programs. Additionally, it has played an active role in disaster relief, including earthquake, flood, and snowstorm relief efforts.
It was recognized by the Chinese government as a National Industrial Tourism Demonstration Site, a National AAA Tourist Attraction and a National Green Mine.
