Zinc(Lead)
Zinc and Lead
Basic industrial metals

Zijin Mining is the largest zinc producer in China, the second largest in Asia, and one of the top four globally. We have significant expertise in developing low-grade zinc-lead projects and strong profitability. Over the years, we have maintained steady production growth.

Zijin Mining owns many large and ultra-large zinc and lead assets, such as the Bisha Copper-Zinc Mine in Eritrea, the Wulagen Lead-Zinc Mine and the Sanguikou Zinc-Lead Mine in China. To process their products, we have built zinc smelters, including those operated by Xinjiang Zijin Non-ferrous Metals and Bayannur Zijin in Inner Mongolia. Zijin brand zinc products are registered on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) and the London Metal Exchange (LME).

Applications

Zinc and lead play important roles in the global low-carbon transition as well as in infrastructure construction.

Zinc is widely used in steel galvanizing, automotive manufacturing, construction galvanizing, die-casting alloys; electrical, chemical, and light industries; and military and pharmaceutical fields.

Given its increasingly important role in energy storage and production, zinc is an important material for the low-carbon future.

A versatile and adaptable material, zinc is widely used in fields such as automotive batteries, electronic storage, aerospace, and medical imaging.
