  • Project Overview

The Raygorodok Gold Mine is located in the Akmola Region in northern Kazakhstan and consists of two open pits, north and south, spaced 2 km apart. As of June 2025, the mine held indicated and inferred resources of 208 million tonnes of ore, with an average gold grade of 1.0 g/t and contained gold of 197.4 tonnes. Mineral reserves stand at 97 million tonnes of ore, with an average gold grade of 0.9 g/t and contained gold of 87 tonnes.

  • Construction Plan

Raygorodok benefits from well-established infrastructure. Its heap leaching system for processing oxides was commissioned in 2016, and a new carbon-in-pulp plant began production in 2022. The operation will advance feasibility studies and pit optimization. Against the backdrop of strong gold prices, these initiatives are expected to boost resource extraction at the open pits and expand production capacity.

  • M&A

On October 10, 2025, Zijin Mining’s subsidiary Zijin Gold International completed the acquisition of a 100% interest in the Raygorodok Gold Mine in Kazakhstan.

ESG

From the outset, Raygorodok has actively fulfilled its corporate social responsibilities. The operation created more than 1,200 jobs in Kazakhstan, with more than 51% of its employees from the Akmola Region. It supported infrastructure improvements in its host communities, including road repairs, revamp of water supply systems, and communication base station upgrades. Educational support was strengthened through school building renovations and scholarships for outstanding students from local communities. Raygorodok also fostered the growth of local small and medium-sized enterprises.

In recent years, it has become the largest taxpayer in the Akmola Region, making substantial contributions to the region’s stable fiscal revenue and infrastructure upgrades. The operation has received multiple awards from government agencies and other organizations for its sustainability initiatives and significant contributions.
