Zijin Mining has been included in the 2024 China ESG 50 list released by Forbes China on September 26. The company was recognized for its strong integration of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles into its core businesses and development strategies, as well as innovative ESG practices.
The China ESG 50 list is designed to celebrate leaders in ESG and promote sustainable development among Chinese companies. After a review process involving thousands of Chinese firms listed in Shanghai, Hong Kong, and overseas stock markets, the top 50 in ESG performance were recognized on this year’s list.
Forbes China noted that more than 90% of these companies generate significant revenue from overseas markets. Improvements in ESG disclosure among these leaders coincided with their overseas revenue growth, which has far exceeded the industry average.
