On November 13th and 14th, Damian Shaw, the Deputy General Manager Operations of Porgera Mine in Papua New Guinea (PNG), and the Senior Community Manager Timothy Andambo visited Zijinshan Gold and Copper Mine and exchanged views with Zijin on mine’s operations, community relations and mining safety, also shared managerial experience.
Porgera Gold Mine in PNG is a newly acquired mine by Zijin (47.5%) this year, which is a joint venture with Barrick Gold Corporation (47.5%). It is a world-class gold mine project, with an annual gold production of 15 tonnes.
