A silk banner with words of “Big Love, Honorable Heroic Action” was sent to Mr. Chen Xiang, a mechanician of Zijin Mining on September 16th, for saving a life.
On September 12, a 6-year-old little girl Xing Ruixuan was enjoying fishing with her family by a fishpond. But she accidentally slipped into the pond right after her parents walked away to get some stuff.
Mr. Chen was just passing by while hearing a cry for help. He followed the voice and found the girl struggling in the water. He immediately jumped into the 2-meter depth pond, grabbed the girl and then brought her to the shore safely.
Mr. Chen’s cell phone was damaged by water. The girl’s parents insisted on buying a new cell phone for Mr. Chen, Mr. Chen, however, politely refused their offer and left.
The girl’s parents asked around and finally found out where Mr. Chen works. They came to the company and said, “It is so grateful that Mr. Chen Xiang saved our beloved daughter from drowning, and thanks to Zijin Mining, it cultivates such kind-hearted staff.”
