Recently, a rare torrential rain has battered Pendjikent in Tajikistan, resulting in debris flow, landslide and flood in many areas. Public facilities including roads and houses have been destroyed in varying degrees, causing a serious impact on local residents’ daily life and production activities.

JV Zeravshan LLC, a subsidiary of Zijin Mining Group, immediately sent a rescue team including 30 staff with relevant professional knowledge and skills, five engineering vehicles and five carrier vehicles to the disaster area, which significantly accelerated the process of disaster relief and reduced the loss for local residents.

The Tajikistan government and local residents were deeply impressed and expressed sincere gratitude for Zijin’s generous help.
