Chairman Chen Jinghe Met with Ambassador H.E. Juan Carlos Capu?ay of the Republic of Peru

Recently, Chairman Chen Jinghe met with H.E. Juan Carlos Capuñay, Ambassador of the Republic of Peru in Xiamen, and held talks on how to promote Zijin’s mining investments and development in Peru.

Chairman Chen briefly introduced Zijin’s operating status and Zijin’s Rio Blanco copper project status in Peru. He said that “The steady economic and trade cooperation between governments of the two countries in the past decades provides Zijin with favorable conditions and development opportunities in Peru; Meanwhile, as one of the most competitive and largest mining companies in China, we own significant advantages in fields of geological exploration, hydrometallurgy, comprehensive utilization of low grade and refractory ores, and large scale engineering development; In addition, we attach great importance to the investment and development in mining industry in Peru, and hope to get strong support from Peru Government in order to accelerate the development of Rio Blanco Copper Mine.”

H.E. Juan Carlos Capuñay also expressed that “China is one of the largest trading partners of Peru, a number of Chinese companies have achieved satisfactory progress in mining industry in Peru; We are confident of our mining industry, and will strive to help to list Rio Blanco Copper Mine into our national key projects, and create better conditions to its development.”
