Zijin Mining Ranks 486th on the 2021 Fortune Global 500 List

Zijin News - The 2021 Fortune Global 500 list, the most renowned and authoritative tally of global companies, was released on August 2. Zijin Mining made its debut on the list, ranking 486th.

The Global 500 shrank over the past year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Total revenue for the world’s biggest companies fell 5% to $31.7 trillion this year, while aggregate profits were down 20%, the biggest decline since 2009. Sixty-nine companies on the list failed to deliver profits.

In 2020, Zijin Mining achieved RMB171.5 billion in revenue and RMB 6.5 billion in net attributable profit, up 26% and 52% year-on-year respectively.

Strong growth momentum continued in 2021 – in the first half of the year, we earned RMB 109.9 billion in revenue, up 31% year-on-year, and made RMB 6.6 billion in net attributable profit, up 174% year-on-year. These represent new records in our results.

Production of our main metals also grew steadily - 22 tonnes of mined gold, 240,000 tonnes of copper, and 200,000 tonnes of zinc.
