Zijin News - On September 3, 2021, Chen Jinghe, Chairman of Zijin Mining, met via video link with Mr. Sherali Kabir, Minister of Industry and New Technology of Tajikistan and representative of JV Zeravshan LLC’s Tajik shareholders. They discussed Zijin’s investments and operations in Tajikistan and future cooperation.

Chen Jinghe briefed Minister Kabir on the development of Zijin’s businesses and its long-term goals. He said that Zijin promotes common development under the motto of “Mining for a Better Society”, and that it is working actively to improve its ESG system.

Chairman Chen further noted that Zijin will continue to contribute to the industrialization drive of Tajikistan, facilitate social and economic development in the country, and help deliver more benefits to its people.

Minister Kabir appreciates the significant contribution made by Zijin and its affiliate Zeravshan to the Tajik economy and society, pledging continued support to the operation and development of Zeravshan.

Minister Kabir said the government will facilitate the export of concentrates, in a bid to support the sound, steady and long-term development of JV Zeravshan.
