Fourteen (14) elementary schools in Brokopondo enthusiastically participated in the Brokopondo School Quiz. After a three-year hiatus, the quiz was held for the ninth time on July 14 and 24. At the final competition Ds. Rasmus M. Schmidt School, located in the village of Brownsweg, became champion of the School Quiz and received USD 1,000. The school from Klaaskreek village, Daniël Ijveraar School, became semi-champion and received USD 650. With this project ZIJIN Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. ("RGM") contributes to the sustainable development of its Communities Of Interest (COIs) through education, as one of its priority areas.
