Guyana Ambassador to China Anyin Choo Visits Zijin’s headquarters

On September 8, Ms. Anyin Choo, Ambassador of Guyana to the People’s Republic of China, paid a visit to Zijin Mining’s headquarters and met with the company’s Executive Chairman Chen Jinghe and President Zou Laichang.

During her visit, Ambassador Choo acknowledged the significant results Zijin has achieved with its project in Guyana.  She noted the company’s investments have driven economic and social growth in the country, garnering high recognition from the Guyanese government and people. She said the Embassy of Guyana in China warmly welcomes Chinese companies to invest in Guyana. Ambassador Choo added that Guyana will provide support for Zijin’s operations in the country and wished Zijin greater success in the future.

During the trip, Ambassador Choo also visited the Zijinshan Copper-Gold Mine and Zijin Copper, a major smelter operator, and praised Zijin for its notable achievements in promoting green, low-carbon development at the two operations.
