This milestone serves as a strong acknowledgment of the company’s practices in areas such as human rights protection, employee welfare, and occupational health and safety management.
SA8000, established in 1997 by the Social Accountability International (SAI), is a globally recognized certification standard for corporate social responsibility (CSR). It sets rigorous requirements across various aspects of social responsibility, including the prohibition of child labor, protection of workers’ rights, ensuring workplace safety, promoting equitable compensation policies, and respecting workers’ freedom of association.
Serbia Zijin Mining has consistently prioritized employee well-being through systematic management measures that safeguard labor rights and deliver tangible results.
On workplace safety, the company has implemented regular health check-ups, occupational disease prevention programs, and equipment upgrades, to create a secure and healthy work environment for its employees. To drive community development, Serbia Zijin Mining has launched initiatives such as the “For the Future” scholarship program, the “Healthy Childhood” and the “Warm Winter” projects. The company has also signed direct purchase agreements with local villages for agricultural products and framework agreements for honey procurement.
