MINING.COM recently released a list of top 50 global mining companies, Zijin Mining ranked 12th with $36.48 billion (equivalent to RMB 235.8 billion), 6 places forward than the same period of last year, and continued to be the top Chinese enterprises on the list. Meanwhile, Zijin ranked the second in the top 10 company listed with a super high growth rate of 140.3%.

Zijin Mining owns significant stakes in 3 of the world’s 10 largest copper mines discovered in the past 20 years - the Kamoa-Kakula Copper Mine in DR Congo, the Čukaru Peki Copper-gold Mine in Serbia, and the Qulong Copper Mine in Tibet. Their copper reserves and resources total 70 million tonnes, accounting for 39% of those found in the world’s top 10 copper mines (178 million tonnes).
