Zijin Mining Participates in the “Dialogues on China” Conference in Serbia

From October 10-11, the international conference “Dialogues on China: Harvesting the Winds of Change: China and Global Actors” took place in Belgrade, Serbia. Representatives from Zijin Mining attended the opening ceremony and spoke at the session on green and sustainable development in China-Serbia cooperation.

During the presentation, Zijin Mining's representative shared insights from the company’s Serbian projects, highlighting advancements in green and sustainable development. The speaker outlined business opportunities and responsibilities under the Belt and Road Initiative, providing detailed case studies and data to demonstrate Zijin's commitment to a green transition. The presentation emphasized Zijin's dedication to deepening sustainable development efforts in Serbia and called for a responsible approach to the challenges and opportunities associated with the green and sustainability agenda, advocating for collaborative responses to global issues.

The “Dialogues on China” academic conference, jointly hosted by the Institute of International Politics and Economics of Serbia and the Institute of European Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, attracted esteemed experts and scholars from 27 countries. Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric and Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Ming were among the attendees.

Additionally, Serbia Zijin Copper and Serbia Zijin Mining unveiled their 2023 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reports at the conference.

The event received extensive media coverage, with over ten national and local media outlets participating, including Xinhua News Agency, Tanjug, Politika, RTS, Pink TV, and RTV Bor.
