Chen Jinghe attended the China Mining Industry Chain Conference and called for Chinese mining enterprises' global competitiveness build-up

Zijin News on 25th November, Chen Jinghe, chairman of Zijin Mining, attended the 15th China Mineral Deposit Conference and 2020 China Mining Industry Chain Conference, calling for the construction of Chinese mining enterprises' global competitiveness.

Chen Jinghe pointed out that the distribution of global mineral deposits is uneven. World-class mining companies have to deploy resources globally. At present, there is still a big gap between Chinese large multinational companies and companies in western developed countries. Chinese mining companies should focus on improving the following five capabilities to form global competitiveness: strategic mineral resource ownership, global output influence, mining technology and engineering innovation capabilities, investment and cost control, operation and management in accordance with international rules, informatization, intelligence, and ecological development.

Chen Jinghe stated that Zijin Mining will aim to build a large international mining group with high technology and efficiency. To create greater value for its shareholders, employees, partners and the society, the company will adhere to the correct strategic direction, grasp major opportunities, seek development without distraction, and build global core competitiveness with a global perspective.

This conference is guided by the Department of Energy and Mining Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, supported by the China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Promotion Association, hosted by the China Mineral Resources and Materials Application Collaborative Innovation Platform. More than 80 institutes and enterprises. engaged in scientific research in the mining and materials industry, including the Institute of Mineral Resources, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences organized and co-organized this conference.
