2022/07/15 11410

Zijin News - On July 12, the 2022 Fortune China 500 list was released. The largest Chinese listed companies were ranked by revenue earned in the last fiscal year. Zijin Mining ranked No.53, moving up 14 places compared with last year.

Thanks to rising metal prices, 60 companies from the metals industry made the list, which is more than the number of companies included in the list from any other sector.

Of the 60 companies, Zijin ranks No. 4 among the 16 that achieved a revenue of over RMB 100 billion, and No.1 among the metals miners in net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company.

In 2021, Zijin Mining achieved RMB 225.1 billion in revenue and RMB 15.7 billion in net profit, up 31% and 141% year-on-year respectively.

In the first half of 2022, the company’s metal production continued to grow and it is expected to achieve about RMB 12.6 billion in net profit, an increase of 91% or 6 billion over the 6.6 billion generated in the same period last year. The figure will represent Zijin’s best ever semiannual performance.
