Continental Gold, a subsidiary of Zijin Mining in Colombia, recently held its second annual processing, smelting, and assaying skills competition. Employees competed on four techniques: sample preparation at the Technical Services Center, gold fire assay, assaying of copper in gold concentrates, and determination of sodium cyanide content.
Continental Gold has been carrying out various skills training programs and fostering a culture of continuous learning among its workforce, which helped both Colombian and Chinese employees to maintain and hone their skills, and significantly improved their innovation capabilities.
