On September 7, Commercial Counselor Oscar Felipe Rueda from the Colombian Embassy in China led a delegation to visit Zijin’s headquarters.

Counselor Rueda noted that mining is a crucial industry in Colombia, as 90% of the country’s foreign exchange income comes primarily from the extractive and petroleum industries. This revenue contributes significantly to Colombia’s development. He said the Colombian Embassy in China will fully support Zijin and continue to work closely with the company to foster a bright future.

During the trip, Counselor Rueda visited the Zijinshan Copper-Gold Mine. He applauded Zijin for its adoption of cutting-edge processes and technologies, which have enabled large-scale mining and comprehensive utilization of low-grade resources.
