On August 12th, local time, Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon met with Chairman Chen Jinghe and his team in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, to discuss Zijin Mining’s operations and investment in the country.

Chairman Chen expressed his gratitude to President Rahmon for the warm reception and highlighted the substantial support that Zijin Mining has received since establishing its presence in Tajikistan. This support has come from President Rahmon, various government departments, and the broader society. He noted that Zeravshan, Zijin’s subsidiary in the country, is now Tajikistan's largest gold producer, contributing six tonnes of gold annually.

Chairman Chen also noted the company’s commitment to carefully planning future investments and project development in the country, expressing his hope that President Rahmon and the Tajikistan government will continue their support.

President Rahmon recognized Zijin Mining as one of the world’s largest multinational mining companies and commended the outstanding performance of Zeravshan as a foreign-invested enterprise. He referred to Chairman Chen Jinghe as an "old acquaintance and a dear friend," warmly welcoming Zijin Mining's continued investments in Tajikistan.

Over the 17 years of its investment and development in Tajikistan, Zijin Mining has overcome numerous technical challenges, significantly improved its production and operational performance, and made substantial contributions to the country's economic and social development. Relevant government departments will conduct specialized research on Zijin’s development in Tajikistan and actively support the company.
