Cheers erupted as the final whistle blew. On March 26th, the women’s team from Handball Club “Bor Zijin Copper” triumphed in the final match of Super League B for the season 2023/24, defeating Belgrade’s RK “Beograd” team. With this win, they secured the season championship and advanced to Super League A.
Women’s handball is a traditional and beloved sport in Bor, Serbia, with deep roots in local communities. In 2022, Serbia Zijin Copper signed a title sponsorship agreement with the Bor Handball Club, injecting new vitality into the team's development.
Reflecting on the past challenges, club coach Milorad Filipović said, “The club was struggling, having been relegated from League A to League B. Zijin’s sponsorship gave us hope.” Serbia Zijin Copper's support provided essential funding and marked a significant improvement in the club's management and event organization.

With Zijin's continued backing, Bor's economy and sports scene have thrived, leading to steady improvements in the club’s facilities. The club now boasts 20 league players, 120 secondary league players, and seven professional coaches, all equipped with specialized training facilities and offices.
As the team successfully ascends to League A, the future of the Bor Women’s Handball Team looks brighter than ever, drawing the interest of many new corporate sponsors.
