On July 31, leading global metals miner Zijin was honored as an Outstanding Responsible Company of 2025 by Southern Weekly, one of China’s most influential newspapers. The company placed 13th among the 300 companies that made the final ranking, with an overall score of 81.3 points out of 100. This recognition reflects Zijin’s continued commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and solid performance in the field.
The ranking is based on the Southern Weekly China CSR Survey, one of China’s earliest, longest-running, and most recognized surveys of its kind. This year’s survey covered 630 companies, including manufacturers and service providers, across key sectors such as renewable energy, automotive, finance, and technology. It assessed firms across three core areas: management, performance and compliance. The survey used a comprehensive and rigorous evaluation framework, which comprised seven tier-one indicators such as fair business practices, responsible governance, environmental protection, and community philanthropy.
The rankings were announced at the 18th Annual Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility in China hosted by Southern Weekly.
