More than 100 Zijin Employees Donate Blood in Majdanpek, Serbia
2025/06/04 95

Serbia Zijin Copper, a leading copper producer in the eastern European country, demonstrated its commitment to community health as more than 100 employees from its Majdanpek Mine participated in a recent blood donation drive. Organized by the local Red Cross in the town of Majdanpek, the initiative reflected the employees’ spirit of humanity, compassion, and selflessness.

“I’ve donated blood 16 times in Majdanpek. When I worked in Belgrade, I’d visit hospitals whenever there was a need—my type-O blood can help many people,” said Majdanpek Mine employee Aleksandar Bogdanović.

Višnja Martinović, another employee, shared: “I started donating at 18. My grandfather, a former Red Cross president here, taught me that helping others is a virtue. A small act like this can save lives.”

A growing number of Serbia Zijin Copper employees are taking part in social programs like blood donation, reinforcing the company’s commitment to supporting local communities and giving back to society.
