Zijin’s Founder Receives Serbia’s State Honor for Contributions to Industrial Development

February 16 — On Serbia’s Statehood Day, Mr. Chen Jinghe, founder and Lifetime Honorary Chairman of Zijin Mining, was awarded the Order of the Serbian Flag by President Aleksandar Vučić. The award, one of the country’s highest honors for foreign citizens, recognizes Mr. Chen’s significant contributions to Serbia’s industrial development.

Thanks to Mr. Chen’s vision and strategic leadership, Zijin’s two large mining operations in Serbia have become key growth engines, contributing substantially to the social and economic development of eastern Serbia and the country at large.

Under Serbia’s Law on Decorations, state honors are categorized into orders, medals, and commemorative medals. As the highest form of public recognition, these distinctions are conferred upon Serbian and foreign citizens, entities, and international organizations, in recognition of their extraordinary contributions to Serbia and outstanding achievements.
